Fibroid Symptoms Nausea

A fibroid tumor of the uterus, otherwise known as a myoma, is the most common reason that a woman visits her gynecologist in the ten years leading up to menopause and also one of the most common reasons for a woman in her thirties or forties, to be advised to have a hysterectomy.  Fibroid tumors are round, non cancerous lumps of the muscular wall of the uterus, made up of smooth muscle and connective tissue and they normally occur in groups. They start off fairly small but can grow to the size of a grapefruit and are normally accompanied by heavy, painful and irregular periods.

A uterine fibroid tumor is caused by too much estrogen in the body which stimulates its growth whilst a lack of estrogen causes the fibroids to disappear. Many women in their mid thirties begin to experience non ovulating menstrual cycles and as they approach the decade before the menopause they are producing less progesterone than normal and possibly more estrogen. They retain water and salt, their breasts enlarge, they gain weight, become depressed , lose their sex drive, suffer mineral loss in their bones and they develop fibroids. All of these symptoms point to a dominance of estrogen. Conventional medicine would normally advise a woman at this stage to have a hysterectomy but it has been discovered that by balancing the hormones, naturally, fibroids can be prevented from growing and may even decrease in size and then, once menopause is reached, the fibroids will naturally disperse of their own accord.

So it is important for any pre menopausal woman who has fibroids to reduce her estrogen levels and to take a supplemental dose of progesterone. Taken regularly the progesterone will level out the hormone balance and prevent any fibroids from getting larger. An ultrasound after three months will hopefully show that the fibroids have either remained the same size or decreased. Other effective ways of slowing fibroid growth is by exercising, reducing stress levels and reducing calories. By adopting these methods there is every chance that that  fibroids will not grow and cause problems and there will be no need for a hysterectomy to be carried out. If a woman can get her hormones balanced and her menstrual cycle in a regular pattern, then conditions such as uterine fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts, stand very little chance of occurring.

So many women are led to believe that medication and surgery are their only options when dealing with conditions such as fibroids and ovarian cysts, but trust me when I say that natural treatments can and do work.

Is it normal to have bad cramps, nausea and bloating with fluid around ovary?
Found cysts a couple of months ago, had uterine fibroid removed and other surgical tests for fertility in January. This month had mid cycle bleed and very bad cramps. Neg test for pregnancy and UTI. then 2 days later back pain and huge amount of bloating and all of symptoms above. Had scan at appt for fertility follow up which showed area of fluid near corpus luteum or ovary not sure didnt really understand. Dr didnt say it was a cyst but said it was probably where the pain was originating from. Ive had to take time off work and feel pretty out of action but he doesnt seem bothered at all. Any similar experiences

    pregnancy symptoms…negative results….?
Just a recap on my symptoms: constant nausea, tiredness, headaches, dizziness.
negative test results, period last week, but wondering if there is still a chance?!
ive been pregnant once before and felt this way. had a miscarraige at 10 wks….but i have 1 fibroid, a very tiny one…can fibroids cause these symptoms?
    any insight?

If you have a period, most def. not pregnant.

Unfortunately, those symptoms could be anything, including just getting sick. If I had to place a bet, I think you’re catching the flu.

Fibroids wouldn’t cause all of those symptoms though.

HELP lower abdominal pain fibroid or appendicitis?
i am a 39 year old female. i have lower abdominal pain on the right side of the abdomen. the pain is unbearable worst them childbirth, the pain is sharp pain and sometimes its constantly there for hours and hours. i always feel the pain there but it gets really bad sometimes. ive been told that i have fibroid in my womb but its only 1cm so it doesn’t need removing. i had my smear test which was normal and an ultrasound which only shows the fibroid. my stomach is very swollen and the pain hits the back of my hip and down my right leg. ive recently realized that my skin is really itchy also. as well as the pain i feel nausea and i don’t feel like eating. my GP said its not my appendix but the symptoms show that it could be appendicitis which could explode and kill me.

please help asap because i cant live like this…….

You really do need a second opinion or to get a check over in the emergency room. Possibilities include…
Ectopic pregnancy, ruptured ovarian cyst, right kidney stone, right sided kidney infection, crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and right lower lobe pneumonia are other common causes of pain in the right side of the abdomen.

Hopeful pregnant, but unsure….pts best answer ty?
My dilemma….I’m 25, just married my husband on our 8 yr anniversary, we don’t have any children, have had 1 miscarriage with him 7 yrs ago. I have my period approximately every 35 days (5 weeks from 1st day of last period). They last for 7 days everytime. The 1st 2 days I have to wear the overnight pads since they suppossibly are considered heavy. The rest I fill 1 pad a day. My last period came at 46 days (1 week & 4 days late) & only last for 3 days. This period I would consider it spotting, I only had to wear a total of 2 pantiliners (didn’t fill completely up either). I always have severe cramping. I was diagnosed with a fibroid tumor when I was 18 & the doctor said that everytime I have a period my body thinks I’m going into labor & trying to push the tumor out (labor contractions he called it). This period I had absolutely no cramps (loved it, loved the whole thing). I was ovulating the (5 days after our wedding) April 10th (didn’t realized, found out from ovulation calculator) & that’s when he finished inside :) finally after so many yrs lol. Anyways a week later I started feeling sick everytime I swallowed, mood swings (not normal type), & extremely tired. I was literally laying in bed all day. For 2 weeks I was so confused, I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I finally started suspecting pregnancy, but didn’t mention anything to my husband (or anyone) until May 1st, within 2 hrs I went to the bathroom, wiped, seen a little red line, but a pantiliner on, but that was it, didn’t have anything on the liner. I thought that was it, until 3 days later (May 4th) I started. I have never had any of this happen to me so I’m so confused. I haven’t got a preg test bc through out all the yrs everytime I did they’ve came out neg & within a week someone else ended up preg. So I’m afraid it’s just going to be the same thing. Disappointment for me but happiness I’ll feel for someone else. At 1st for the nausea I would have to take vitC orange flavored tablets to help somewhat, then I started craving pickles (lol I know) but that only worked for less than a week, now it’s bananas & herbal tea. It only soothes it for so long though. I started out feeling nauseous & tired, now I’m feeling slight cramping (which is little more than 2 weeks til my period) just started about 4-5hrs ago, at this moment I’m not anymore, my breast just started feeling sensitive today, I’ve had a full, thick feeling in my uterus for about a month now (forgot to mention). The mood swings are still there also, they seem to be getting worse though. My husband caught me crying during a cartoon (A CARTOON) lol. I hardly ever cry over movies in general. Anyways I know I’ve got the symptoms but I’m just worried that we’ll be wasting money on a neg (my sis-in-law/bestfriend may be pregnant) so I’m thinking either I really am or I’m just getting her sympathy hormones or whatever u call them lol, since I always do. Also, I’m worried that it may not be pregnancy, it may be my fibroid. I’m just wanting advice, before spending money on a test. I appreciate everyones & everyones help. Thank you!
Oh! & my eating has changed also. An example is if I’m able to eat 4 slices of pizza then I can only eat 1. Basically I’m eating about 1/4-1/3 of what I normally can. Smells are affecting me as well. I’m also getting headaches at least once a day. Another thing that helps my stomach is drinking lemonade. Not the kind that’s premade but the kind where u add the ReaLemon juice, sugar, & water. I’m being more antisocial too. I only want to talk at certain times. At times I can’t talk bc I feel everytime I open my mouth then I’m going to get sick. I haven’t gotten sick yet though. I have had some come up but go back down & that’s happened for about 5 weeks now. If I think of anything else then I’ll add it. If u have any questions then I will answer them so be sure to look back. Thanks again & sorry for being so long. I’m just lost :D

Uh…all signs point to PREGNANCY! I have had one miscarriage and after that I got pregnant with my now 3 year old daughter. Especially when you mentioned your breast tenderness. Your breasts get VERY tender and full. I am like 98% sure that you got a baby in the “oven”. When I was pregnant I always ate those little chocolate doughnuts WITH pickles….yuck! Anyways, hope this helps! If I were you I would buy a test! Also when I took my first test it was negative…but 3 days later I went to the doctor and they did a test and I was 8 weeks along, so tests CAN be wrong!

Crippling pain in stomach…please help if you can…?
I am a 22 year old female. I have had GI problems since I was a baby and still to this day. I’ve dealt with every thing from diarrhea, constipation, nausea, cramps, pain, the list goes on. The past 2 months I’ve been suffering with a different pain. It began in my lower stomach, lower back, and groin. It’s a crippling pain that comes on very fast and last a few seconds but usually happens over and over for minute or so. My doctor thought it was female related so she ordered an internal and external sonogram. My gyno looked over the results and said I had a very, very small fibroid (about 3/4 of a cm in size). He said that is nothing to worry about and does not think it is the cause of my pain.

I have just been trying to deal with the pain but it’s getting unbearable. It seems to happen most severely before, during, and/or after a bowl movement. It can also happen a few minutes after eating and it can also happen without any warning but usually is not as severe if it happens during those times.

Recently I was at work and felt the need to have a bowl movement. I was walking toward the restroom and a wave of pain came over me like I never felt before…I fell to my knees and had to crawl to the bathroom stall. While I was having the bowl movement it felt like something was tearing away from my insides but the stool itself was soft. This last occurrence has scared me a lot and I am going to contact my doctor again to talk about it but I am wondering if anyone has any idea what could be going on with me. I have spent hours searching my symptoms online and have come up with nothing at all. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Take these symptoms to your doctor again, don’t let him/her off the hook. If she/he can’t give you a satisfying solution to the problem ask for a referral to someone who can. Also, after you’ve left the doctors office go to records release and sign a release form to have a copy of your records sent to yourself. By law they have to provide you with this and usually there is no charge. In your records will be a lists of your lab work and indicate if normal or abnormal, copies of the doctors notes as to what they have found and how they intend to treat you, and what they suspect or know is your problem. Take charge of your health, if your not improving, you may need to go to someone who can.
There are many problems that cause those symptoms, lab test should lead you to the solution, but the doctor has to order the right Labs.
